Children’s and Young People’s Counselling

Being a parent is difficult at the best of times. But when you can see your child struggling with their emotional wellbeing, being a parent can become overwhelming. We are all aware with of the calls for better mental health in our children, and yet it can be a real struggle to access the support your child needs. Halcyon Counselling offer a private solution to this need. We have the flexibility to offer a swift start to therapy that is not constrained by a limited number of sessions.

At Halcyon Counselling, we don’t see counselling as a way of diagnosing or fixing children. Instead, we aim to provide a safe, supportive space where children can express themselves, explore their feelings and make sense of whatever might be troubling them. hrough talking, play and creative approaches, we build a trusting therapeutic relationship that helps children develop confidence, understand themselves better and recognise their own strengths and potential.

Our counsellors have experience working with children in a variety of settings: primary schools and secondary, charitable services and in private practice.
All Halcyon Counsellors are DBS checked and fully insured.

Sessions last 45-50 minutes for both children and young people.
