We can offer a number of workshops around mental health and wellbeing. Previously delivered workshops include:

ATTACHMENT WORKSHOP

Time Taken: 3 hours
Audience: Professionals working with adults/children with attachment issues or general interest
Format: Experiential, up to 20 participants

In the workshop we will look at where and how attachment develops, we will explore the different modes of attachment and we will examine how secure adult attachment can mitigate an insecure, ambivalent or disorganised childhood experience of attachment.
The workshop is practical and interactive and can be delivered for up to 20 participants with one workshop leader and a facilitator.
This has been successfully run for social workers, counsellors and domestic abuse workers; both employed and volunteers.

WELLBEING COURSE

Time Taken: 2 hours for 8 weeks
Audience: Adults or young people interested in their wellbeing
Format: Experiential, up to 20 participants

This is an 8-week , two hour session course which can be run with adults or young people and looks at wellbeing - what it is ,what it means, how to get it and how to keep hold of it. The sessions cover self-awareness, self-esteem, assertiveness, confidence building, anxiety and depression, loneliness and relaxation and sleep. This is a practical interactive course providing handouts/ digital support for participants.

Previous attendees have commented:
“this is a huge help for regaining confidence, meeting other like-minded people, who don’t judge and I think it’s the best two hours of my week” (Sandra)
“I have overall a more positive outlook on life after attending the 8-week wellbeing group and I am a lot happier and have been able to deal with difficult things better.” (Faye)
“A great course to help with all aspects of life!” (Ali)

WHO AM I? - self awareness course

Time Taken: 2 hours for 10 weeks
Audience: Adults or can be adapted for young people
Format: Experiential, up to 10 participants

This is an in depth self-awareness course. It is a practical, interactive course looking at self-awareness, What it is? Why do we need it? And how do we get it?

It covers topics like the Johari window, learning styles, personal drivers, personal narratives, lifelines, family and group dynamics - understanding of self in groups. It examines culture and conditioning, conscious and unconscious. It looks at values and society, drivers, ego defences and personality and sub personality.

It can be an emotional and revealing course to follow but really makes clear that knowledge is power. This course works better with smaller numbers, 10 participants and a workshop leader and facilitator. Basic workshop materials will be provided but the work done is primarily personal and reflective.

This course has been successfully run as an evening class for trainee counsellors/mental health professionals but also for members of the general public.
